I started my insurance career a few decades ago after a short stent as a typist for an insurance company (yes, before computers!). From that first job, I found a career that satisfied a need for challenges and continuous learning as insurance is ever changing. Most of all, I found that my clients are amazing and interesting in so many ways, and I learn so much from them. After 30 years in Commercial Property & Casualty, I was finally ready for another challenge, it was found after my husband became eligible for Medicare in 2010. Even though I had decades of reading insurance contracts and plans, I found Medicare to be hard to navigate, as well as confusing and unnecessarily complex. Through a lot of studying to make sense of Medicare, I found my new career. Immediately I found joy in helping those entering into Medicare understand and the complexities less intimating. I love my final career!
