  Established national nonprofit to reduce/eliminate childhood strangulation injuries and deaths due to corded window coverings. Coordinate with individual producers and industry associations to improve product safety standards and remove hazardous corded window coverings from the market.• Raised consumer awareness across the Facebook, Twitter and YouTube digital media channels with the #gocordless message by building informative website, using Google and Facebook Ads and creating a large online support base for parents affected by this tragedy. • Leveraged visual arts/graphics training to write, produce and film 20 YouTube videos. Attracted 1.7 million views for accident reenactment rated highest viewed window safety covering video, 2014.• Build relationships with global industry leaders in manufacturing and product safety organizations to create awareness and momentum by establishing a groundbreaking window covering certification program in 2005 that has since been accepted by 50 manufacturers including All Strong, Blink Blinds, Pella Windows and SelectBlinds, among others.• Work closely with U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to track and share consumer product injury and death data with interested stakeholders by establishing centralized database/information library that enabled accurate injury/hazard pattern tracking and analysis which expanded to public safety agencies; manufacturers, U.S. CPSC and journalists • Educate/coach a national volunteer organization of 100+ on best practices in raising public awareness of the issues, improving product safety standards and influencing pertinent global, state- and federal- legislation resulting in the elimination of corded window coverings in Canada, an effort that began in 2012 and resulted in significant legislative win 7 years later in 2019. Achieved higher U.S. safety standards mandating that stock products, those fabricated prior to purchase, be cordless, December 2018
