Operational Readiness - Revenue CycleCsi Jul 2016 - Mar 2017Unity Health System and Rochester General Health System merged, RRH has been diligently working toward a fully integrated healthcare system. They are already successfully installed with Epic in the Rochester General sites and are now extending Epic to the Unity sites to replace Cerner, NextGen, and Siemens applications and to Clifton Springs Hospital to replace Meditech. Rochester General Hospital System acquired Unity Hospital System and all their 30 plus clinics. The undertaking consisted of phasing 7 clinics at a time to the new system. I served as a member of the Operational Readiness Team, my primary responsibilities include supporting all stakeholders with a successful transition to the new Electronic Health Record System from begin to end. This demanding task consist of analyzing and documenting current and future state workflows and operational processes for multidisciplinary healthcare provider activities. We identified gaps in processes and offered solutions to close the gaps between what the business required and what the technology of the new system has chosen to fulfill those requirements. The team is responsible for reporting findings and recommended processes or workflow changes to the practice managers. Because of my strong background and full understanding of the Revenue Cycle, I created Visio process workflows, training manuals for non-clinical roles, and quick references. I also conducted training workshops, roadshow demonstrations, as well as performed front desk Go-Live and elbow support for 20 plus clinics. As a result of Go-Live support, I provided input on the prioritization of enhancement requests based on issue trends, non-clinical workflow knowledge and operational needs.
