Sole proprietor, Professional Pain Education and Consulting LLC. Recently retired Nurse Practitioner in Pain Management at St. John Providence in Southfield, Michigan. She received her undergraduate nursing degree from Wayne State University and her Masters degree in Nursing from Madonna University. She is board certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Pain Management Nurse through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She recently has been granted recognition by the American Society of Pain Management Nursing (ASPMN) as an Advanced Practice Pain Management Nurse, one of twenty five such designated nurses in the United States. Linda is a licensed Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing full time in pain management for the past 27 years. She is a member of multiple professional nursing organizations. Linda co-authored the ASPMN core curriculum chapter on Cancer Pain, is ASPMN’s Director of Master Faculty for Advanced Pharmacology and functions as a graduate nurse preceptor for several universities. She is a consultant, researcher, clinician and lectures nationwide. Among the many awards that Linda has received is the Sigma Theta Tau’s Iota Chapter’s, Excellence in Nursing Practice award; the Michigan, Detroit Chapter ONS’s Advanced Practice Oncology Nurse of the year award, and the prestigious Nightingale Nursing Award for excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing. Linda was also awarded the 2009 Hero of Breast Cancer, Compassionate Caregiver Award, the 2014 Clinical Excellence Award from the Midwest Pain Society and in 2016 the Alumni of the Year, Wayne State University, College of Nursing.
