Lahti, Päijänne Tavastia, Finland

Co-teaching two courses (10 ECTS credits each) on Urban Design and Strategic Design to 2nd year Service Design students at LAB University of Applied Sciences (part time).The course was built around a case study of the development of Mukkula neighborhood. The aim of the course was to co-create citizen-driven visions and design initiatives to guide the sustainable development of the neighborhood, with focus on children and youth. The case project was conducted in tight collaboration with the city of Lahti, the research group of the national Suburban Development Programme (Lähiöohjelma), as well as local communities and stakeholders.- Teaching & lecturing on themes related to service design and urban design- Planning & designing the course content, schedule and materials- Guiding & assessing student work- Assisting in the planning & facilitation of workshops- Contributing to research activities, incl. conducting & analyzing qualitative research- Co-authoring an academic article for a publication on the research process and findings
