In 1997 Rolls Filing Systems selected me to head up their NSW Division, with a focus on developing strategic relationships within the records management industry, particularly those in the Health and Government sector. One of the primary reasons for my selection was my 7 years as the Area Health Information Manager for the Central Coast Area Health Service, incorporating 4 hospitals, 11 community health centres and managing 52 staff. In the 17 years working for Rolls Filing Systems I have negotiated a large number of high profile contracts with customers in the health and government sectors. In addition to this I have also built up an extensive list of small to medium size customers, all of which now benefit from a highly responsive, proactive, reliable and efficient customer service. In 2008 I was formally invited to join the NSW branch of RIM Professionals Australasia (formally RMAA) having actively participated in the many events the association sponsors each year. I am also a corporate member of the Health Information Management Association of Australia. In my tenure as NSW Sales Manager I led a team of 8 highly motivated individuals. In addition to providing leadership to the NSW sales team, my main charge was developing new business for the company. I have a proven track record in creating new business opportunities and developing long lasting business relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Management of the day-to-day functions of the two Medical Records Departments located at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals,• Manage a two million dollar annual budget,• Managed 52 records management staff across four hospitals and eleven community health Centers, • Responsible for two active file storage areas, one secondary storage area and one off-site (tertiary) storage facility,• Oversee the annual culling of medical records in both the active and secondary storage areas,• Design and implement new medical forms for use across all campuses,• Design and implement orientation programs for new interns, nursing staff and ward clerks,• Manage the day to day auditing and compliance of the Patient Information System,• Co-ordinate and lecture in the Medical Terminology course run twice a year,• Ensure that the Health Information Departments based at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals consistently met and exceeded accreditation requirements,• Staff recruitment,• Responsible for the Occupational Health & Safety program within the Health Information Service,• Conduct annual Performance Appraisals on all 52 staff.
