Committed to research that improves lives, with a particular focus on underserved populations. Interested in building opportunities for good jobs and ensuring the education and training pathways individuals need to reach those jobs. Currently leading mixed methods research to inform decisionmaking around policy and programs in areas such as career and technical education, workforce development, and postsecondary access and success. Partnering with state education agencies, systems, and institutions to solve problems is critical to the success of the work.Projects examine innovative approaches to postsecondary education and workforce development including stackable credentials, credit-for-prior learning, competency-based education, and high school career and technical education programs. Other work explores the critical role of basic needs supports and public benefits for students. Also interested in education and career development opportunities for military and veteran populations.
