Job Summary:• Provides a direct point of access for the community by delivering consultation, evidence-informed counselling interventions and psychosocial rehabilitation to individuals and families • Works within a collaborative care structure to provide holistic, goal-oriented and change focused interventions based on informed consent, voluntary participation and within client capacity• Employs treatment modalities/approaches including, but not limited to, CBT, Group DBT, ACT, exposure therapy, harm reduction, trauma informed therapy and motivational interviewing• Plans, delivers, and engages in systemic interventions with children, youth and families, groups, organizations, and communities• Facilitates comprehensive intake assessments, compiles psychosocial reports, and develops treatment plans for individuals experiencing emotional, social, behavioral, and intellectual concerns• Works collaboratively with client, family, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans specific client needs/goals and available resources• Plans and facilitates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) sessions based on evidence-based treatment practices and client needs/goals• Co-facilitates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group therapy and provides mental health education sessions in schools• Assisted in developing and standardizing the referral process for the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Intake Program• Engages in ongoing education and professional development and maintains competency congruent with professional standards • Adopts additional duties as a Crisis Response Worker / Mental Health Liaison Nurse, requiring me to be on-call during and after work hours to attend to mental health crises
