In this full-time role with the the American Society of Civil Engineers, I am devoted to the advancement of the civil engineering profession as well as delivering value to members.Prior to joining the ASCE staff team, I served as the Executive Director on the ASCE Texas Section staff team where I regularly worked with the Section’s Board of Direction and Executive Committee to implement the strategic plan and ensured the Section was one of the most active sections within ASCE. Prior to my career in the non-profit arena, I provided a comprehensive range of civil and environmental engineering consulting services to private and public sector clients for 10 years. My engineering experience includes: waste containment facility design, permitting, & performance evaluation for various waste streams; water resources & mixed-use land development engineering; environmental compliance monitoring; environmental site assessments; oil & gas litigation; and health & safety implementation.Professional Engineer in the State of Texas (2011)LEED Accredited Professional (2008)ASCE Member (2007)Podcast Features: Civil Engineering Academy https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WW5EYbMuSvwTeach the Geekhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Au0hKlwzlP0Engineering Our Futurehttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ub0fTetSsQ8Fun Facts: Some of my favorite engineering projects have included the preparation of SWPPPs for industrial facilities, the development of groundwater monitoring plans for waste containment facilities, assisting graduate students with the collection of landfill data to evaluate the dynamic properties of municipal solid waste during a simulated earthquake, and collecting groundwater samples at various Superfund sites.I enjoy cooking, gardening, practicing yoga, running, swimming, attending STEM outreach events, and, when vacation time allows, snowboarding. While living in Austin, TX for over a decade, I was a member of the Austin Cactus and Succulent Society 🌵. I'm now searching for a DMV-area plant club!
