About Lindsay Hill

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my journey in mental health care has been deeply personal and professionally enriching. My experiences with DBT during grad school were transformative, reshaping my approach to care and igniting a passion to share these vital coping skills more widely.At Klear Care, my approach to mental health blends compassion with clinical expertise. Together with my sister, also a PMHNP, we established Klear Care Academy to mentor and guide emerging mental health professionals. We advocate for a comprehensive care model that skillfully integrates psychotherapy with medication management.In collaboration with Rachel Jones, we share a passion for enriching the traditional 'meds-only' approach. We believe in the integration of brief psychotherapy into medication management appointments as a standard for excellent clinical care. Our joint efforts have led to exciting projects, including an upcoming podcast and a DBT coaching group, aimed at demystifying mental health care and offering practical strategies for clinicians to confidently apply this integrated approach.My doctoral project on developing a DBT course for PMHNP students highlights my dedication to enhancing professional skills in mental health. Openly sharing my journey with anxiety, ADHD, and my experience with psychiatric medication, including during pregnancy, is part of my commitment to breaking down stigmas and promoting authenticity in seeking help.At Klear Care and Klear Care Academy, we're building a space where mental health is openly discussed, and care is both empathetic and effective. We're on a mission to foster a community where learning and growing together is central to our approach.
