I'm a staff scientist at Fermilab with over a decade of experience on the CMS experiment, starting in 2004 as an undergrad. I have been programming in C++ for over 15 years, the majority of it spent solving various problems in high energy physics.In High Energy Physics I have contributed to and lead physics analysis in measurements of the Standard Model, and searches for New Physics beyond the Standard Model. I have developed and lead efforts to design software for reconstructing data from state of the art detector apparatus. Most recently I've developed uses and lead the formation of an international project to construct a novel precision timing detector for the CMS experiment, which aims to improve the quality of physics data recorded for the High-Luminosity LHC period that is expected to start in 2026. This has involved leading teams and developing cutting edge systems to deliver clocks and record signals with picosecond accuracy to a system with millions of active elements and constitutes state-of-the-art research.
