I was very lucky to acquire a fantastic bursary from Sure which was then a subsidiary of Cable and Wireless. I received financial help towards my degree course and also was offered unlimited work experience during my University holidays. This was invaluable throughout my degree and I was able to gain experience in many different areas of the business from their marketing department, to serving customers in a retail shop. My knowledge of customer service was greatly improved here and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to put the academic knowledge I was gaining at Newcastle University into practice within a successful and thriving business environment.
