Managed the employment, training, asset utilization, and equipment maintenance for an organization of 48-50 personnel, specializing in geo-spatial, signals, and all-source intelligence. Maintained military vehicle fleet of over 50 pieces and additional intelligence-specific equipment worth $32 million.

Assisted the Brigade Intelligence Officer in providing situational understanding of enemy operations through integration of intelligence with operations, artillery, protection, and logistics to the Brigade Commanding Officer and staff in support of military decision-making.

Provided battalion-level tactical and operational all-source intelligence assessments, courses of action, and estimates dealing with enemy capabilities.

Presided over the coordination of all logistics support for Military Intelligence company of 122 personnel and managed maintenance service of over 100 pieces equipment.

Planned, resourced, and executed brigade-level military training plans. Analyzes operational support requirements/requests from higher headquarters and other DOD agencies in both field and garrison environments.

Provided organization all-source assessments, estimates, courses of actions, and products ranging from enemy capabilities, intentions, vulnerabilities, and effects on terrain and weather. Managed organization’s physical and personnel security programs, including initiation, updating, and revoking clearances based off DOD protocols.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing multi-platform and multi-service artillery assets in direct support of infantry company. Integrates artillery support plan into company’s scheme of maneuver.

Attended US Army Basic Training Course, Officer Candidate School, and Field Artillery Basic Officer Course during this period.

During the summer of 2011 I had the enriching experience of interning for my home state Senator, Richard Burr, of North Carolina. As a previous Capitol Hill intern, I was able to witness the realization of what it takes to dedicate one’s life to public service. I accomplished a broad range of administrative tasks, including properly researching, and cataloging data for constituent correspondence. Throughout the debt ceiling crisis, our office received almost 2,000 phone calls a day. I had the opportunity to speak, listen, and record constituents’ opinions to better guide the Senator’s decision in this dilemma. I stood ready to complete any project a senior staff member needed and led Capitol tours teaching various North Carolina constituents about the history of the nation’s government. One group enjoyed my tour so much they wrote a glowing review back to the office. I always welcomed guests after a tour to come visit the Senator’s office, and assisted with any information they needed to enhance their DC trip. Acquired Skills:• Directed multiple cases to correct local government offices• Answered telephones, with a friendly and calm demeanor, to dozens of phone calls daily for constituents during the debt ceiling crisis• Directed all calls to correct action personnel• Led Capitol tours, teaching North Carolina constituents about the American government and its history• Reviewing and sorting different types of constituent mail• Composed and logged hundreds of constituent requests in database system• Gathered missing North Carolina citizen information for constituent correspondence• Provided a wide variety of administrative services for office• Very familiar and confident with software programs requiring typing skills (i.e. Micrsoft Office, etc)
