*Responsible for purchasing functions including vendor sourcing, selection and negotiations.*Review all orders for accuracy, specifications, delivery dates, tests, drawings, required certifications, duty certification and federal sales tax.*Ensure all orders are verified against customer purchase orders, vendors’ acknowledgement for correctness, pricing and deliveries.*Review expediting schedules on all customer orders; obtain and forward information to customers through Sales.*Place quote requests for price and delivery with suppliers.* Oversees product pricing bought from suppliers, and intercompany.* Visit suppliers and maintain current supplier list* Negotiate pricing on special and/or volume purchase of raw material and finished machine supplies* Issues standard purchase orders* Liaise with Sales to verify orders are correct; Planning to verify inventory levels prior to ordering products or services, and parts required to maintain production; Engineering and Quality regarding order specifications to machine shops, vendors and corporate.* Transportation: Setup transportation and forwarding services for orders, Expedite critical orders, Review freight rates; air, courier, and land* Customs: Responsible for all duty customs sales and tax functions including certification/verification, drawback and compliance with governmental agencies, Liaise with custom brokers for updated reporting procedures and valuations.* Administration: Administer maintenance contracts, Order and maintain office supplies, equipment and service, Responsible for the safety of self and others* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

 Bidding and acquiring contracts for the company Creating work orders Creating quotations for raw material and third party services for possible jobs Purchasing material and services required for existing work orders Applying costs of material and services to work orders Reviewing mechanical drawings  Accounts payables Payroll preparation Benefits administration Document Control and General office duties
