CurrentManage environmental compliance program for 120+ acres of shipyard property, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.• Responsible for all environmental reporting to include annual TRI, semi-annual MACT II/NESHAPS, all required DMRs, Biennial Hazardous Waste Report, Tier II, Title V Semi-Annual Monitoring and Annual Compliance Certification, DEQ Annual Emissions Updates, and all other environmental reporting as requested.• Oversee and maintain all… Show more Manage environmental compliance program for 120+ acres of shipyard property, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.• Responsible for all environmental reporting to include annual TRI, semi-annual MACT II/NESHAPS, all required DMRs, Biennial Hazardous Waste Report, Tier II, Title V Semi-Annual Monitoring and Annual Compliance Certification, DEQ Annual Emissions Updates, and all other environmental reporting as requested.• Oversee and maintain all environmental plans to include Facility Response Plan, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures Plan, Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan, and Oil & Hazardous Materials Transfer Operations Manual.• Conduct regular environmental audits and compliance inspections, identifying and addressing gaps in environmental best management practices by recommending corrective actions reducing our average number of discrepancies by 63% over 2 years.• Manage environmental permitting to include completing applications and ensuring timely submission of regulatory reports to agencies such as the EPA and VA Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).• Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and inquiries, successfully cultivating positive relationships to ensure full regulatory compliance and address compliance issues.• Lead environmental incident response efforts, including spill response, remediation, and reporting to ensure prompt resolution of environmental issues.• Facilitate environmental and safety training sessions for employees to enhance compliance, raise awareness, and improve environmental practices throughout the shipyard.• Collaborate with other departments, including operations, safety, and management, to integrate environmental best management practices into daily operations.• Collect stormwater and wastewater treatment plant samples per VPDES permit requirements and analyze trends to recommend improvements.
