Former TV news veteran (14 years!) turned Sales Operations professional… how did I end up here? In my previous life in the glamorous world of broadcast news, I started out as a part time camera operator in Lafayette, Louisiana and then within two years worked my way up to director. After nearly five years, I left Lafayette for the Big Easy and it’s where I've been living since 2012. In this new position in New Orleans, I directed multiple daily live TV newscasts, various sports programs throughout the week for the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, local colleges and high schools, breaking news, severe weather coverage, elections and special events like the Krewe of Endymion carnival parade, Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras. I also got to meet some pretty cool celebrities and athletes like Hulk Hogan and Anthony Davis.After nearly 10 years at this company, I felt that I conquered all I could in the news world and decided to take on a different challenge. Thus began my search for “something different” and that’s how I found SpotOn.I had great soft skills that translated well but much of my hard skills were deep in the technical aspects of TV production and at first I was nervous that I made a mistake. But I love to learn & learn I did— rate proposals, hardware proposals, merchant applications, commission calculations, product & pricing knowledge. I went from zero industry knowledge to quickly establishing myself as a go-to person for support, especially concerning Sales Compensation. I continued leveling up my knowledge and eventually was entrusted with not only creating my own department within Sales Operations but also leading it- thus began my Compensation Support team which I’m extremely proud of. Most of all, I’m proud for taking that leap and finding a career that not only do I love but I’m very good at.During my weekends & free time, I'm happiest spreading kindness, being at home with my husband Cameron and two dogs— Scooter & Blair (Basset Hound/Golden Retriever mix & Great Dane/Lab mix, respectively). I also enjoy reading all genres of books and I love to cook— especially Cajun food that I learned from watching my Mawmaw.
