• Designed, built and programmed small control systems used to optimize oil/gas well performance.• Programmed microcontrollers such as Parallax Basic Stamp in Pbasic, Microchip PIC in PICBasic and Arduino in C. Used Modbus protocol to interface Basic Stamp to PumpMateTM controllers (see below).• Initially hired to learn and program ChartWriter, software purchased from OKCProducts(Berthoud, CO) for use on their PumpMateTM well controllers.• Used ExpressPCB to design circuit boards using analog electronic design practices, soldered finalized boards (through hole comps mostly, a few surface mount comps). • Designed and constructed all wiring assemblies, enclosures and connections for the final in-field setup. • Worked remotely with little supervision.

• Built FEA models and assisted with the FEA analysis using MatLab and in-house proprietary acoustic analysis software.• Analyzed shipyard manufacturing drawings and gave recommendations based on accoustic design guides.• Administered a Microsoft Access database system used to store reports and calculations. Added many upgrades and user-requested featurs to the database in addition to training coworkers and troubleshooting database problems.

• Built custom, complex LIMS for biotech and life sciences companies using GraphLogic's patented software, PointDragon, an object-oriented, visual programming environment.• Came in with no knowledge of the platform and began development on Production systems after a few months.• Worked 1 on 1 with the clients to develop agile programs that exactly met their needs. This included gathering requirements, making adjustments as necessary during the process, and extensive testing. System walkthroughs were given through online meetings on a regular basis to make sure the development was on track and in line with client needs. In constant, open, and honest conversation with the client about their needs and how we were meeting them.• Acted as Lead Developer for most projects but also worked in a team setting with other developers. • Provided detailed documentation for completed systems and conducted on-site training of end users. • Continued to provide troubleshooting, training and upgrades to clients after the system had gone into Production. • Supported structural and geotechnical engineers in the materials testing lab running experiments based on ASTM standards; designed and built test fixtures to meet the stated requirements. • Used Excel to perform analysis such as stress/strain calculations on various materials, including concrete cores, stone cores, plastic pipes and arches, wood pilings, lengths of steel; wrote reports based on the analysis.• Controlled an MTS Universal Testing machine and 600k lbf capacity Forney tension/compression machine.• Used test equipment such as strain gages, pull testers (measured force), core drilling rig.• Programmed LabView software for data acquisition from LVDTs, extensometers and load cells.
