As a team leader at Arkansas Department of Education, I collaborated with other teachers and historians to revise the state frameworks for civics and government. We edited and removed standards, and found and linked resources for effective pedagogical delivery. I also volunteered to assist other content groups with their work on their standards.As a social studies teacher at Russellville School District, I taught every social science class to diverse and inclusive students. I also completed graduate hours in ESL instruction from Arkansas Tech University, and applied my skills to support English language learners in my classes. I am a highly effective educator with a passion for making a difference in the lives of America's students, and a desire to transition to a new career. I am open to opportunities in curriculum writing, instructional design, project/scrum management, and corporate training, where I can leverage my skills in project/people management, collaboration, and content delivery. My guiding principles include authenticity, accessibility, profitability, and teamwork.
