Some selected experience.As the Chief Technologist for IBM Global Services- Public Sector, I served as the Lead Architect and “technical conscience” for the IBM Global Service Public Sector. I performed as the lead technical person on many Public Sector contracts and provided oversight and consultative services on all of the contracts being delivered in the Public Sector by IBM Global Services. I have also been responsible for the mentoring and growth of our technical staff. I have also been seconded to the corporation for selection as a Distinguished Engineer.As the Lead Architect on a large ($100+ million) major Systems Integration contract, provided architecture and structural design for a 20,000 user Client/Server application utilizing MS Windows clients. All workstations and servers addressed an MVS DB/2 database providing concurrent access to more than 200 Gigabytes of data. The system also integrated creation, management and storage of more than 1 Terabyte of distributed documents.Designed and implemented a Manufacturing Control System for a major steel foundry. Pursued all aspects of project development tasks including systems analysis, design, coding, testing and training of both management and line level personnel.Designed and implemented an industry leading Raw Cotton Trading system which included fully integrated inventory control, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable functions.As the Technical Team Lead, I was responsible for development of a series of expert systems used by a major telecommunications company in support of real-time network control monitoring and data purity requirements for downstream applications.As Vice President - M.I.S. for a raw cotton merchandising firm held responsibility for management of day-to-day operations for staff and supervised the implementation of a new computer and the associated manual and computerized management support functions.
