Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned staff. Provide independent program plans and services as required by clients' individual program, treatment, and aftercare plans. Acts as agency liaison with community agencies regarding available services, hosts meetings, facilitates presentations to groups, organizations and individuals. Plans, prepares, and revises work schedules according to workloads, productivity expectations, assist treatment team, or other assigned staff with cases involving extreme behaviors requiring support & assistance from local authorities.

Review offender’s files, and completes initial intake packages and need/risk assessment. Assess offender’s behavior deficit by completing needs assessment program plans. Conducts individualized sessions with assigned offenders. Evaluate offender’s progress. Provide information in staffing with other counselors and security staff. Provides counseling in order to modify offender’s behaviors and attitudes, reduce negative behaviors and help offenders adjust to environment. Independently and appropriately de-escalates disruptive or crisis situations. Serve as advocate for offenders who request representation. Serve as duty officer on rotating basis. Complete offender reentry packages. Work on Process Action Team computing offender sentences.

Conduct initial interviews with inmates to determine eligibility for services. Devised treatment plans. Periodically re-determine eligibility and/or appraises treatment plan to meet needs. Prepare social histories for courts. Counsel inmates concerning, adjustment, character and employment problems. Advise inmates of available resources in community. Maintain contact with numerous community and governmental agencies to coordinate services. Conduct follow-ups on referrals
