Carried out detailed research on susceptibility of hydraulic dam soils to internal erosion. Assessed and validated numerical hydro mechanical behaviour of dams with analytical solutions. Implemented finite element method based on Fortran code to perform numerical modelling of hydro-mechanical behaviour of dam. Integrated geo-statistical analysis and energy approach for characterisation of susceptibility of hydraulic dam soils to internal erosion based on construction data. Key Achievements: Published two publications in peer-reviewed journals. Established and maintained new strong communication between GeM laboratory, Hydro-Québec company, and Université Laval (Canada). Discovered efficient, flexible, and friendly-used internal erosion estimation package with easy applicability to other hydraulic dams. Simulated hydro-mechanical behaviour of hydraulic dams and improved new mesh discretisation and dam geometry and multiple material types implementations by evaluating and reviewing existed Fortran code.
