I work at UC Learning Commons both as an Supplemental Review Session Leader and a Math And Science Support Tutor. As an SRS Leader, I am in charge of 2 classes for STEM-prep Pathways II where I facilitate icebreakers and review sessions pertaining to students' weekly Math lectures. Rather than teaching and giving them the correct answers, I coordinate groupwork activities where students learn how to learn by discussing and solving problems primarily with their peers, thereby gaining new knowledge and developing interpersonal skills as well as autonomy in learning. During shifts as a MASS Tutor, I offer drop-in, group study-table tutoring to students of 6 different Math courses, assist them with any questions and suggest creative ways of solving problems.

I contribute to the Digital Philanthropy Center and the University of Cincinnati Foundation as a student fundraiser who makes calls to alumni and donors to solicit their support of my university. The most enjoyable part about my job is getting to communicate meaningfully with patrons, besides raising funds for scholarships and UC initiatives. In addition to verbal communication skills, I stand chances of honing my problem-solving mentality as well as the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment. At the call center, I am equipped with training and tools needed to be successful and have culminated in a donation of over $2,000 from 35 commitments. Last semester, my co-workers and I raised a total of $421,250.02 from 3,819 commitments.

TestPrep EliteV is the only IELTS-training center in Hue city to operate with the unique tutor format, tailoring to each and every student's needs. As a Speaking Practice TA, I coordinated speaking sessions with 4-6 students individually, either in person or online, with an aim to enhancing their reflex responses to IELTS-formatted questions. I gave feedback on various aspects of their performances like pronunciation, intonation, fluency, vocabulary, and grammar. Synchronously, I proposed suggestions for improvement and updated students' progress through Excel study logs. To facilitate them at greater lengths, we were incorporating sound recorders and amplifiers as well as speech analyzing applications into teaching. Most remarkably, I was multitasked with facilitating students and collaborating simultaneously with a group of 2-3 teachers as well as native speakers to ensure smooth transitions between speaking sessions and major skill-training classes.

I assisted customers on a daily basis with filling in DS-160 forms and translating legal documents into English to qualify for either studying abroad or travelling overseas. I also engaged in the practice process for students' visa applications, simulating visa interviews and giving feedback on their performance. Additionally, I was in charge of preparing 3 pupils for the Duolingo English Test.
