Ju Lin is an ambitious undergraduate student majoring in Aviation Engineering and minoring in Electronic & Information Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He works as a Research Intern at the Forbes-awarded start-up LifeSparrow Solutions Limited, where he contributed to the development and upgrade of SAR products. Additionally, he co-founded an eVTOL platform focused on Asian tech innovation. In the summer of 2024, he is sponsored to conduct research on systems where heat transfer is the main energy transfer mode at the Ghent University Research Group Sustainable Thermo-Fluid Energy Systems (STFES) in Belgium.In terms of research, Ju is focused on the integration of Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, and Attention Mechanisms with Seamless Positioning and Route Planning. As a former resident of the College of Undergraduate Researchers and Innovators Residential College (CURI RC), he completed undergraduate research under the supervision of Dr. Li-Ta Hsu and Dr. Guohao Zhang, leveraging Machine Learning to mitigate multipath in GNSS positioning. His dream is to continue working to integrate these advanced technologies with practical problems, and bridge the gap between academia and industrial applications.With his passion in motorsport, he is also the Deputy Director, Powertrain Lead & Driver of the PolyU E-Formula Racing Team, and represented the University and Hong Kong to participate in the Formula Student competition in the Silverstone, United Kingdom in July 2023 as Powertrain Lead, and attended the Formula Student Electric China in November 2023 as one of the directors winning the 3rd prize.Ju is deeply committed to social justice, inspired by his favorite quote from Martin Luther King Jr.: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." He is passionate about gender equality and educational equity. To raise awareness about gender discrimination, he launched a survey to gather perspectives from different genders, yielding some inspiring results.In addition, Ju has engaged in volunteer work in various locations, including Hong Kong, Hainan in China, and Tanga in Tanzania. Through these efforts, he aims to bring hope and care to underprivileged children in need.Ju also participated in different kinds of other events, like Model UN, debate, Mathematical Contest in Modeling, and is still on his way trying to understand the world and pursue his dreams, let’s anticipate more miracles on him!
