• Designed a dispatching and inventory tracking system for a privately held trash company. Led the development of 4 applications including mobile and web applications that targeted truck drivers and dispatchers. These people were unfamiliar with modern technology. Development was performed by a team of domestic and offshore people. The underlying applications produced a 15-20% gross margin improvement that fell directly to the bottom line. The applications further enabled accurate tracking of drivers, containers, and work orders in real time. • Cablelabs creates technology for the $421B cable industry. Designed a federated WebRTC system to provide video telephony between set-top cable boxes. Performed field research of WiFi in multi-dwelling units (MDUs) to quantify opportunities for cable providers. Evaluated methods to reduce support and service costs while providing a better customer experience.

• Built automated workflows to sell “virtual items” on Ebay and Amazon. Virtual items became actual items while properly updating inventory and accounting. Order processing man hours were reduced by 80%. Customer complaints for virtual item resellers dropped precipitously. The final integrations included Stitch Labs, Amazon, Ebay, Shipstation, Fishbowl, and QuickBooks among others.• Created a telemedicine platform leveraging WebRTC to increase rural patient access to healthcare and increase provider billables. Migrated from legacy implementations to a web-based model. Created a heads-up display to enable providers to see their patients and their health information simultaneously.• Created a distributed release and disaster recovery tool for the $1B infomercial retailer, Guthy-Renker. Minimized and mitigated risk of downtime. Provided expertise for networking, application development, database design, and performance optimization.
