I have progressed in my skill set by demonstrating my ability to work and act independently of direct supervision. I assist site and area management in collecting and analyzing business data for customer driven performance requirements and requests. I am also able to organize and supervise ad hoc operations in response to various contingency options.

My new job position is almost exactly the same as the old one, at the same place. So, nice to be back. Almost. It's never really 'nice' to be in Afghanistan

Duties: Assisting Operations and Maintenance [O&M] project teams and management by developing and implementing common work processes and procedures. Review reports for content and report compliance. Ensure timely completion of required reports. Provide other management and administrative assistance as required. Assist in the preperation of periodic and annual performance evaluation reports to be presented to the US Government and the client, the US Army. Assist with the coordination of ground and/or air movements and tracking of movements in the Area of Operation [AOR]. Monitor a commmunications base station during the performance of assigned duties and communicates emergencies with base military Tactical Operations Centers [TOC] and KBR Departments. Requires the ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of an organization. When these job tasks are correctly perfromed, they have an indirect impact on cost containment, efficiency, profitability and, operations.

I am employed by KBR in support of US Armed Forces in the Global War on Terror. I am based at a small camp on the Afghan/Pakistan border and assist management in day-to-day operations in the area. One of my major responsibilities is daily, weekly and, monthly reporting, so that upper management at our headquarters can and do have a good picture, statistically of what we're doing, and the shape that we're in, logistically and operationally. Operations are generally not burdened with the heavy responsibility of management but, work side by side with them to finish projects and forge new methodologies for successful project completion.

Camp Al-Taqqadam, Iraq

Currently employed by KBR in support of OIF [Operation Iraq Freedom]. I aid in the management of a small fleet of city-service trucks tasked with a mission critical role. I am responsible for ensuring that the maintenance, documentation and readiness of these trucks are complete on a daily basis. This includes route and driver scheduling, dispatching and maintenance issues and, compliance inspections. Our department also oversees a subcontractor which requires involvement with facilities maintenance, SOW’s and SOP’s, understanding the role of LOTD's, ACL's in the business model.

General Manager, Deployed Soldiers Network. An ISP which serves US soldiers deployed overseas. Responsible for managing a tech and sales team, expanding the network, increasing bandwidth usage and, implementing extra value items offered to customers. Since starting, the ISP has grown to triple the bandwidth consumed, and double the number of customers. This ISP is located on Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, the KFOR base in the Balkans. I am now proficient at the management of cost analysis, field evaluation, implementation and integration of networking equipment up to and including STM-1 [155Mbps] telecommunications grade equipment.I am also experienced in managing the installation of consumer level LANs and WLANS in remote, isolated locations, in harsh conditions, and bringing internet connectivity to customers.

I assisted in the development of a border porosity study in the Balkans, which was based on tracking and mapping of known smuggling routes. I formed strategies and plans to reduce such traffic and, to increase effectiveness and the reliability of customs and border officials. Strategies were based on my knowledge of the interaction of telecommunications, IT, and GSM technology. • Responsibilities: discovering/proposing new or innovative means of overlapping security and control on the border regions. We included new types of technology, as high-levels of security were required. • Skills: IT, TCP/IP, GSM, SWOT, GPS, GIS, data and intelligence collection and analysis, strategic analysis, project management. • Targets: identifying cost effective methods and technologies with easy implementation, control and security, to effectively decrease unauthorized border traffic. Budgeted proposals had to be accepted by customs and border officials in three different countries of SE Europe.

I worked in small teams observing the border policies of police, customs and immigration officials of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Our mission ended with the beginning implementation of the Dayton Peace Accords in April 1996

I was an interrogator, [97E1LK3PF] which required me to be highly proficient in a foreign language. In addition to basic skills and duties I was also responsible for authoring a technical manual for the deployment and operation of several tactical surveillance systems we used - mostly for training. I was also the Company Motor NCO - responsible for the maintenance, parts ordering/tracking and upper level maintenance of all wheeled assets assigned to our company.
