NetApp Connect (formerly ionGrid Stratos) is the first enterprise private cloud solution to deliver both a first-class mobile user experience and administrator-controlled information security policies scalable to meet the needs of organizations ranging from small businesses to intelligence agencies. Customers for NetApp Connect include several of the largest financial services, media, education and public utility companies in the world.I designed and implemented much of the scaling, security, authentication and authorization systems in NetApp Connect, and acted as lead developer for the first 4 versions of the NetApp Connect iOS client. I mentored several teams of seasonal interns, and their contributions were a significant reason why our product was able to delight the executives at companies thousands of times larger than us.

My teams in the US and India were responsible for all the dark corners of the software world that turn SoC ASICs into computers: firmware, kernel memory and power management, platform I/O interfaces and general debugging wizardry with ammeters, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and whatever other tools happen to be available. I led the team for the development of the first 3 generations of Tegra processors on both Windows CE/Mobile and Android, including the first mass-produced multi-core ARM devices and Google Experience tablets.My primary responsibilities were improving overall software quality and working closely with our device and OS partners to ensure great end-user experiences. I was also responsible for the strategy and initial roll-out of the Tegra open source BSP release, which is publicly available at nv-tegra.nvidia.com (feel free to harass me about bugs in my ancient commits).

I was a many-hatted software engineer / architect / Khronos representative / marketing evangelist during the development of NVIDIA's first OpenGL ES 2.0 GPU and image processor IP. My tools ranged from hex editors and emacs to PowerPoint, and my contributions included numerous patents and specification documents.

At the start of the programmable graphics and GPGPU age, I learned the importance of strong developer ecosystems as a technical contributor in NVIDIA's world-class developer marketing organization.I worked closely with game development partners throughout the US and Europe to deliver the best experiences possible with the DirectX 8 and 9 APIs and GeForce GPUs, presented at multiple company-sponsored development seminars, published several articles demonstrating advanced lighting and shadowing techniques and invented several anti-aliasing algorithms that were implemented in silicon.
