Signage, or the architectural specialties division of construction is a fast paced industry. Design Communications (DCL) has over 300 projects running concurrently. In a little over two years, I have helped secure over $5.4m worth of contracts for DCL. Starting as an assistant project manager I managed over 14 projects simultaneously within my first three months; a portfolio that includes Novo Nordisk, Commerce Square, Four World Trade Center, and Madison Square Garden. In project development, I am tasked to pay special attention to detail and to make sure the client's vision, usually abstract, could become an actuality. I have estimated over 400 projects. As a result, DCL has contracted with Tufts University, Harvard, Massachusetts Port Authority, Suffolk and Turner Construction among others, on many projects. At ESCO I have lead teams of up to 14 workers in foreign territory where I am the single representative of my company. We took on work from a Federal courthouse in Albany, offices in D.C., to high rise apartments in Jersey City. We were tasked with updating clients’ properties in regards to their lighting. We saved clients’ thousands of dollars by changing ballasts and bulbs throughout their properties.As an intern at Berry (now Suffolk Construction) I was introduced to construction principles by veterans and learned quickly. A renowned project manager who doubled as a great teacher was my mentor. Working on the state of the art $252m Shapiro Cardiovascular Center taught me the importance of details. I have a passion for architecture, engineering, and history. Reading, travel, and fitness are my recreation. I have an insatiable desire for knowledge.
