Release Coordinator: orchestrator of the release management process, working as a Project Manager of the releases, is the main point of contact for the respective clients during the lifecycle of the release. This includes execution, schedule, coordination, and management of releases across the test and production environments. The role also includes the planning and coordination of product (software) upgrades. The aim is to plan, schedule and control the movement of releases in test and live environments to ensures that solutions to the problems are delivered in a controlled manner while providing a steady information flow during the lifecycle of the releases.Responsibilities includes:• Keeps track of the backlog list with problems (bugs) and minor change requests of all live systems.• Plans the annual Client Release Calendar per client/system.• Scopes, coordinates, and prepares the release plans.• Makes sure the releases follow OTOBOS (on time, on budget, on scope).• Manages the schedule of the releases, provides timelines to the client.• Manages risks and resolves issues that affect the scope of a release.• Communicates commitments, requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes to internal and external stakeholders.• Works with the development team to understand impact of code changes.• Ensures release information and documentation are timely updated both in Jira and Confluence.• Plans all pre and post release verification including QA, UAT and Smoke testing.• Ensures that the UAT is planned in a way that there should be a little work as possible from the client side.• Collects deployment signoffs from stakeholders (when applicable).• Leads and coordinates the Go-Live activities including client communication and release notes.• Acts as single point of contact for the release team.• Communicates issues that may arise during release deployment; ensures that the issues are addressed in a timely manner.
