I have worn several hats in related careers. My special skill set was strengthened and refined in both real estate and hospitality industries. Fresh out of university, my career began as a property manager in rapidly gentrifying Lincoln Park in Chicago. I became rehab project manager as we invested in neighborhood growth, negotiating commercial and residential rentals/leases/paralegal, budgets, refinance. Then I was encouraged to join the hospitality industry. First bartending to Assistant Manager to General Manager then Managing Partner and Consultant. Working with other great entrepreneurs improving Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Bucktown, Wicker Park, Logan Square, etc., with restaurants and bars. Gentrifying neighborhoods changes relationships with original and new residents; construction, budget, city permits, licensing challenges, etc. Collaborating in successful long term startup bars and restaurants: site identification, acquisition, concept development, to design, construction, hiring talented FOH/BOH staff, coaching, development, budget, cost management, profit. Creating unique venues in great neighborhoods with impressive clientele volume and featured in local magazines and newspapers. Consulting with preexisting industry clients resulting in size, business growth and valuation increase of 50-100%. Then shifting focus again to real estate, as a broker, earning multiple awards for multi million $ real estate sales volume. Working with residential, investment, and hospitality clients. Consulting, practical advice and direction, valuation, marketing, negotiating, business site determination, leases, REO's.My skill set has created, grown and safeguarded business goals.
