Title of doctoral thesis: Pricing capability development and its antecedentsThe thesis address pricing capability development and pricing management. The purpose was to identify the antecedents of pricing capability development.The empirical study was conducted in close collaboration with a large, multinational, B2B conglomerate. For nearly four years, I followed, studied and analyzed four pricing capability development project within my case company's business units. The extensive access that my case company provided me with allowed me to gain an in-depth understanding of practical difficulties and challenges that firms struggle with when changing business procedures, especially when implementing value-based pricing.Parallel to the work with my doctoral thesis, I co-authored academic publications, presented papers at international conferences, held lectures at bachelor courses in strategic management, represented the doctoral students at faculty boards and acted as a reviewer for scientific journals.
