Our mission is to sell the freshest possible seafood caught by North Carolina fishermen.Three key factors distinguish us: traceability, turnaround time, and in-house operations. We value the people and places behind the items we sell. We drive to the coast 3-4 times each week to hand select the best catch from fishermen and fish houses on the coast. Whether it’s blue crab from Denny Reynolds in Columbia, red drum from O’Neal’s Sea Harvest, or shrimp from Luke Midgett in Stumpy Point, personal relationships with sources result in a better product for our customers.Our business model depends on a variety of sales outlets, both retail and wholesale. As a result, we are able to move our product from the coast to the customer quickly, typically 1-2 days after the product is caught or harvested. We buy whole fish and have a full time cutting staff who process seafood in our FDA approved HACCP facility in Raleigh. Come see us at the markets and taste the best our coast has to offer!HISTORYLong time friends, Ryan Speckman and Lin Peterson started Locals Seafood in 2010 with a cooler full of Stumpy Point shrimp and a pick-up truck. Both Fisheries and Wildlife Science majors from NC State University, their love for the coast, the outdoors, and good seafood started early. Locals Seafood is dedicated to providing the Triangle with the freshest possible seafood from North Carolina fishermen. They have come a long way from the truck tailgate, and both are dedicated to sharing their knowledge and passion for North Carolina seafood.

Tonk is Jay Brown on acoustic guitar, Shepherd Lane on pedal steel guitar, Lin Peterson on telecaster, Ben Barwick on bass, Bo Taylor on drums and Greg Readling on keys. Tonk plays country music in the fashion of the great masters of the 60's and 70's, that is, country music pre-somewhere-around-1978. Heavy on the Ray Price shuffle-walking-bass-line sort of thing, but bleeding into a Waylon Jennings / Johnny Paycheck harder honky tonk style. Their live show swings such that folks can't help but dance; whether it be to hot shuffles or devastating ballads. The band has spent the last year refining their recording technique, and a full length album will be forthcoming.

Old Habits got their start back in 2003 one night when Craig Thompson, Lin Peterson, Bennett Thompson and Brian English got together to pick a little bluegrass. A duplex across the street from Raleigh, NC landmark, The Players Retreat, served as both home to roommates Lin and Craig, and the original practice space for the band. Soon after, Chad Johnson joined the group and the rest is history.Over the next few years, Old Habits would gain momentum playing in small bars, and occasional parties. In 2007, they recorded their first self-titled album at The Rubberroom in Chapel Hill, NC. Eventually drums were added to the line up, and the band moved from old-school bluegrass to their current sound – a mixture of Americana, Country and Southern Roots music.
