Web Developer - I've been a member on the Blue Cross of Idaho web team for the entire time I have worked for Blue Cross of Idaho. The majority of my career has been focused primarily on shoppers. I was responsible for externally facing online medical, dental and short term insurance applications. I also worked with internal staff to streamline the workflow of these applications as they traveled through several departments within Blue Cross. When I started, there were gigantic stacks of paper that were routed manually from desk to desk. Today it is a completely electronic queue system managed by internal employees as their daily bucket of work. They have the ability to move applications forward down a pre-defined workflow or escalate applications out of the normal path. In July 2014, I became part of the agile team focused primarily on Providers. We are currently focused on the Provider Portal redesign project expected to launch to production in June 2015.
