Conducted clinical research, managed multiple projects in my research lab, mentored doctoral and master's students, taught university classes, served on and chaired multiple program and college committees, including Admissions, Scholarships, Job Searches, Curriculum, and Research, consulted on clinical cases. Gave talks and presentations nationally and internationally on research and clinically-related topics related to aphasia and other acquired neurogenic communication disorders. Conducted service to the field, including serving as editor and reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed journals, serving on conference committees, and grant reviews (VA, NIH).

Assisted with developing testing protocol for incoming members at the aphasia center and designed and conducted a 2-year longitudinal study on effects of participation in a community aphasia center (co-author, Jodi Morgan, Director of Brooks Rehabilitation Aphasia Center) (Edmonds & Morgan, 2022).

Conducted funded clinical research trial at the Brain Rehabilitation and Research Center at the Gainesville, Florida VA. Managed the budget, led a team of researchers, and published and disseminated the results.

Worked individually with international graduate students to help them improve their spoken English and presentation skills for classroom teaching. Also, taught ESL courses and exam preparation courses to international students.
