WVFS Tallahassee, 89.7FM is “The Voice of Florida State.” WVFS is an Affiliated Project of the Florida State University Student Government Association and the College of Communication and Information, and operates as a non-commercial, educational, public radio station with 2700 watts of power. WVFS is on air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and maintains a local broadcast radius of about 20 miles and streaming audio worldwide on the web. WVFS is staffed by approximately 150-200 hard-working volunteers from both the campus and community, all of whom work with the primary goal of providing a diverse source of new and different music, news, sports, and entertainment.Disc Jockey for Caffeine A Go-Go, The Time Machine, The Saturday Night Fish Fry (Soul Show), Sunday Evening Jazz, Solamente Latino (Latin Music Show), General Programing and other assorted specialty shows. Interpret University policies and procedures related to graduate education and communicates this information to students and academic programs. Recommends to the Dean of The Graduate School changes to University policies and procedures related to graduate education.Plan and coordinate FSU GradQuest: Graduate School Open House, held yearly for prospective graduate students. Serve as the primary assistant to the Chair of the 27-member Graduate Policy Committee (GPC) that considers university-wide policies relating to graduate education. Serve as primary back-up contact for all graduating masters and doctoral students each semester (450/year) regarding thesis/dissertation/treatise final clearance. Coordinate New Graduate Student Orientation in Fall and create and maintain the New Graduate Student Orientation web site. Create and maintain Office of Graduate Studies web pages and Blackboard organizational sites.Coordinate Faculty Status database and information, Graduate Student Leadership Award , Latin American/Caribbean Scholarship Program, Graduate Certificate Programs Information, and Combined Bachelor's/Master's Degree Development Information.Serve as supervisor to A&P, USPS, Graduate Student Assistants and Federal Work Study Student Assistants.
