I earned my BA in Music, cum laude, from the University of Virginiia and MBA, with highest distinction, from the Metropolitan University of Puerto Rico.(UMET, 1999)I was site coordinator as part of a 17 member school consortium under a grant established by the US Departments of Justice, Education and Health to address school climate following Columbine. I served as School Principal to align school mission and goals with guidelines set forth by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the Public Charter School Board and the government of the District of Columbia, as a Legislative Education Agency. 1999-2010I was a Director of Montgomery County summer programs, and Coordinator in the Countywide After School Initiative. I opened new STEM and Arts programs in three Middle Schools in partnership with MCPS through the Maryland Collaboration Council. 2010-2013With Montgomery County Board of Elections, I trained all election judges and cheifs, countywide, and I served as technical expert for all polling places and precincts on Election Day, 2014.I am a member of the teaching faculty of M Institute for the Arts, and the International School of Music. I teach an early reading music and piano program in Montgomery County Elementary Schools. I am a member of Howard County Parents of School Music Accompanists and Instructors roster, and recommended by schools. 2010-present. I opened a branch office in San Juan q for a NY based software firm, was featured in several articles in Caribbean Business and appeared in radio interviews. 1997-1999I wrote eleven articles on world music published by The San Juan Star. I addressed the National Endowment for the Arts at the San Juan Centro de Bellas Artes to advocate for the Regional Arts. (1997-1999)For more than a decade, I composed and performed music and text for Dance, and was reviewed by the Washington Post as playful and expressive. I co-created a series and performed in small theaters and colleges under a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. 1990 -2002I performed in The Capital Fringe Festival two years in a row and, with my ensemble, was voted Best in Fringe. 2004-2005.
