Project AdministratorClaude Group Jan 1998 - Sep 2006I started out as production assistant working closely with the sales team, production coordinator, production manager and design department. Within three months of starting I had written a procedure manual for the use of the pronto program and taken over the production coordinator role as well as my own. This was the foundation of my project management experience. It involved taking a graphic concept, working with suppliers to provide accurate estimates and quotes for the sales team, producing purchase orders and follow up delivery with suppliers, negotiating variations and rectification a if required, and then invoicing clients once each project was complete. Claude Neon (as it was known then), acquired a project management company called Execon, and I trained their project managers in the use of the pronto program. My role previously had mainly involved the identilite product. Shortly after this I was sent to do a stocktake at a supplier in Coffs Harbour for the Centrelink national project.I then trained the person whose role was sales support to take over the identilite project and I inherited the Centrelink project. Over a period of roughly 5 years I turned over approximately $7M for this national project. I also continued to support the "Execon" team with other major projects such as Livingwell, Stockland, Sydney Casino and I wrote a customised database (Access) for Coca Cola in NZ whilst on maternity leave. This was a skill I taught myself and I have continued to use and develop it since then. I can now produce much more complex and professional databases and plan to add app design to my skill set, hopefully through experience on the job. I would probably still be at Claude's now if they hadn't relocated. I loved that job and learnt a lot there. -
