Certified Public Health Inspector
Current- Conduct on-site assessments and inspections of food premises, public institutions, recreational facilities and other public premises to ensure facilities are maintained and free of health hazards- Identify and control potential health hazards under the provisions of the Health Protection and Promotion Act and applicable regulations in food safety, water safety, rabies infection control, tobacco control, communicable diseases, and other health protection areas-Enforce the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, conducting inspections and investigations as a Tobacco Enforcement Officer-Manage the "beach water program" including developing policies and procedures, training student public health inspectors, and communicating with stakeholders- Educate owner/operators on best practices and work with them to attain or maintain required standards-Took on the role of contact management team lead during the COVID19 pandemic
