Lay off due to Real Estate downturn

I worked in Real Estate Financial Services with a base of builders. I was administrative assistant to a Relationship Manager and worked daily with our customer portfolio.

*Independently designed and developed manual to successfully ensure all new hires were given accurate and necessary information. Initiated a project that, offered new employees a clear guide to benefits and met the documentation needs of the company.*In absence of General Manager assumed daily tasks to include reviewing reports, sorting mail, handling emergencies, and other related responsibilities.*Supervised office employees in daily functions to include solving billing issues, facilitating discussions and motivating staff in quality customer service.

I started as a receptionist when this company was privately owned as Dillard Paper Company. I moved into purchasing and eventually to billing and then to office manager. I supervised 6 in the office and handled HR, Safety, Quality, Returns and customer complaints until the company closed the warehouse in late 2001.
