A Chicago native with a BA in Creative Writing, Lisa honed her creative side early in her career penning script treatments for legendary Chicago DJ, Steve Dahl, and his film company which then led her into the world of film and television production.With a deft hand and the diplomacy necessary to bridge the gap between talent, creative, production, and business affairs, Lisa’s love of people from all walks of life has been key in carving out a successful producing career.She spent years as a freelance development producer at Fatcake Productions honing creative, interviewing talent, writing copy and formulating decks, editing sizzle reels, and finalizing pitches for market.A hands-on producer, Lisa’s years in the field on film, reality and unscripted TV series have empowered her to problem-solve quickly in a volatile climate while keeping a close eye on the budget.As a Production Supervisor, Lisa has been behind-the-scenes for two decades, alternating between cutting-edge docu-soaps, scandalous reality shows, and award-winning indie films. She has supervised projects for cable giants, primetime television, and international outlets alike (OWN, Style, E!, CBS, Comedy Central, Soapnet, Nat Geo, Discovery International, AETN).As a Post-Production Supervisor, Lisa’s talents landed her in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., where she worked with a contingent of talented crew, business affairs, and fixers from Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Israel, and Jordan to finalize and launch the groundbreaking Arabic talk show, “Nida’a,” created and hosted by humanitarian Zainab Salbi.Naturally shifting into the Executive Producer role at Fatcake Productions, Lisa co-created “Big Fish Texas,” an eight-episode, non-scripted television show that moved straight to series at National Geographic.
