Lisa Crump is a Managing Partner of Sofia Fund, which invests in exceptional, women-led growth businesses with a focus on helping change the trajectory for women. She is the founder of Cairn Ventures, a company focused on making early stage investments in innovative, high-growth potential companies in the Midwest. She is co-founder of Stratasys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSYS), a high-tech manufacturer of 3D printers used for rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing. She is an original director, corporate officer and led marketing and European Sales distribution when total revenues were $36 million. A pioneer in medical 3D modeling, she led a talented team to clear the 1st 3D Printer through the FDA for use in a hospital setting in support of surgeons for enhanced patient outcomes. Lisa served as board chair of MedModeler, LLC, a Stratasys spinoff for utilization of rapid prototyping technology with medical imaging modalities. Lisa has leadership experience in startup to later-stage growth companies with a particular focus in the technology manufacturing sector. She began her business career in marketing and distribution sales for SI Technologies, Inc. Prior to business, she taught children with special needs to help all kids reach their potential.Committed to supporting kids' access to science and technology opportunities, she has been active over many years in supporting community-based nonprofits serving as judge and sponsor to help engage youth in the sciences including High Tech Kids. She is active with the Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship at University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Business, WE Initiative, MN Cup, Twin Cities Start-up Week/Pitch Fest; is a founding member of Growing Women's Capital and an active member of Gopher Angels and the national Angel Capital Association.
