Hello. I have been a mental health counselor for 34 years with varied experience, a demonstrated high engagement quotient and strong positive patient outcomes. I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in psychology and minor in sociology from Illinois State University. I received my Master's in Clinical Psychology from there as well with an internship at the university's Counseling Center and practicum at the Institute for Human Resources in Pontiac, IL.I started my career at The Human Service Center in Peoria as a general clinician with an emphasis in Health Psychology. Part of that position involved working at The Eating Disorders Program at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. I found my niche there and was a psychotherapist with the treatment center for 20 years.I was recruited to work at Bradley University given my specialty in 2008 where I worked as a counselor with the wonderful population of emerging adults for 14 years.I am now excited to be working for LifeStance Health; a nation-wide practice with 60 offices in Illinois. You can find me at the Peoria office in Junction City. I also maintain a small caseload on the online counseling platform BetterHelp. Outside of work life, I love my daughter, friends, animals, nature, chocolate and coffee. I like to garden, exercise, read and learn about other countries and cultures.
