Research ScientistHouston Advanced Research Center 2002 - Feb 2012Lisa's research focused on the analysis and dissemination of data concerning the health and productivity of Texas Gulf Coast bays, estuaries and watersheds. Expertise included analysis of coastal monitoring data sets and the development of indicators and outreach products. Developed funding, managed research projects and led stakeholder meetings and related activities pertaining to Texas and Gulf of Mexico coastal issues including coastal water quality, fish and wildlife populations, invasive species, habitat characterization, freshwater flows, and seafood safety. Managed the Galveston Bay Status and Trends Project (2002-2011); managed the Galveston Bay Invasive Species Risk Assessment (2005); managed the Galveston Bay Indicators Project (2005); edited the State of the Bay Report: Characterization of the Galveston Bay Ecosystem (2nd and 3rd editions); created the Quiet Invasion: Invasive Species Field Guide for the Galveston Bay Region (1st and 2nd editions).
