Two month contract providing outplacement services to workers in a large, high-profile company that was downsizing in the heavy machinery / resource sector. The Workforce Development Centre was administered through SMYL Community Services and funded by the Department of Training & Workforce Development.• Facilitated a five week career development course for women to re-enter the workforce with confidence and purpose. • Delivered career development workshops to schools and training organisations (including SM TAFE (formerly Challenger Institute) in Rockingham.• Enhanced the profile of the Workforce Development Centre by developing links with the local media and networking with community service agencies, government agencies, RTOs & high schools, significantly enhancing the profile of SMYL in the Rockingham area.• Delivered one hour career consulting sessions for the general public via the Workforce Development Centre Program. • Coached clients on techniques to write quality resumes, cover letters and selection criteria that increase the response rate from employers.
