About Lisa Lungren

For over a decade, I have worked in international program management, capacity-building, and stakeholder engagement. I managed two multi-sector initiatives funded by USAID and the Bureau of International and Law Enforcement Affairs to build community resilience, prevent organized crime and violence, and promote societal support for the rule of law in Colombia and Mexico. I also led the implementation of rule of law/crime prevention education for middle school students in Central America and Colombia.Prior to my work in program management, I provided support-services and advocacy for vulnerable populations, particularly Mexican and Central American migrants. I am fluent in written and oral Spanish and hold master's degrees from the University San Diego's Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice and the University of Chile's Institute for International Studies.
