I am the Lead EQA and subject specialist for education and training and Business qualifications. I lead on EQA activities and offer advice and support to approved centres. I also train TQUK EQAs to ensure they maintain quality standards and requirements.

Training Qualifications UK is an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation based in Greater Manchester, whose aim it is to be recognised as one of the leading Awarding Organisations in the UK. Having gone through the rigorous Ofqual approval process, TQUK have the systems, policies and staff both at board level and at operational level, to uphold the integrity of their qualifications. TQUK provide world-class customer service for training centres across the UK and are able to offer accredited qualifications (QCF) in levels 1-6 in a range of subjects. As a member of the senior management team, I assisted TQUK in obtaining recognition from Ofqual as an awarding organisation. My responsibilities included leading on all activities relating to quality assurance. I ensured policies, procedures and activities were compliant with Ofqual’s Conditions of Recognition. I also approved centres for delivery and assessment of TQUK qualifications and manage d all external quality assurance activities, along with assisting the Qualifications Development Team in developing units and modules of qualifications.

I deliver and assess the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) qualification. My responsibilities include designing modules and schemes of work, lesson plans and resources. I assess learner portfolios and prepare for EQA activities.

The responsibilities of this role included undertaking internal Ofsted inspections in training centres to ensure quality systems met contractual, awarding body and Ofsted requirements. I assisted regional managers in raising quality standards in centres offering employability and work based learning courses. I co-ordinated and undertook observations of lessons and advice and guidance reviews. I also planned and delivered staff training, focussing on quality improvement in preparation for external inspections and EV visits.

Based at the Head Office of this national training provider, I undertook quality assurance inspections, observations of teaching and learning, centre audits and managed the learner feedback process at TWL. I managed the training budget and CPD records of all TWL employees and designed and delivered generic inductions and staff training programmes. I also assisted the Nominee in leading numerous successful Ofsted inspections and managed the team during the Quality Manger's one year maternity leave.

Responsibilities of teaching included designing and delivering lessons on a range of National Curriculum courses for Business Studies up to A-Level. I delivered lessons to students covering Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. I monitored and evaluated my students performance and marked accredited coursework.
