The combined purpose of the SERQ project manager and system compliance manager role is to ensure that the metropolitan program alliance is in full compliance with MTM’s integrated safety management system and the national rail safety legislation, while designing, constructing and commissioning major projects across the rail network. Key responsibilities• Supporting and delivering the change control board submissions • Leading the management of change process for the alliance • Supporting and participating in risk management processes including safety in design, operational risk and construction risk workshops • Influencing design and project delivery for better safety outcomes • Managing the alliance audit schedule• Conducting internal audits and implementing improvement strategies • Support rail safety teams ensuring safe delivery of the projects, including surveillance activities• Develop and implement SERQ processes to achieve best practice across the alliance

The core responsibility was to support senior management in the successful establishment and delivery of Projects for various Alliances across the whole Metropolitan network. Key responsibilities• Supporting the Alliance Partners in the development of the Safety Critical Systems and documentation to ensure compliance with the RTO’s Safety Management System (SMS)• Conduct site surveillance activities including targeted risk inspection, contractor audits and task observations. • Conduct incident investigations using ICAM method• Advisor to the Program Delivery Manager and other Senior Manager within the MTM business• Mentoring junior safety professionals in OHS and rail safety legislative requirements

The core responsibility was to support senior management in the establishment of the projects management system to assure compliance with National Rail Safety regulation Key responsibilities• Conduct site surveillance activities including targeted risk inspection, contractor audits and task observations. • Conduct incident investigations using ICAM method• Supported the project team in the delivery of a self-performed project, which includes the implementation of MTM Safety Management system throughout the project• Developing of safety communications tools including toolbox talks, bulletins and Alerts • Review of stakeholder safety documentation to assure compliance with national safety and occupational health and safety legislation.

• Developed a Divisional Safety Report including Incident & Injury trend analysis • Coordination of Incident Investigation reports and completion of corrective actions • Coordination between the Incident Reporting and Investigation Online Systems • Assist in development of the Divisional Incident Reporting framework • Coordination of Divisional Safety Statistics/ Target including Safety Observations, Site Supervisor Safety Inspections, Field Safety Inspections • Assisting in conducting Safety Compliance Audits • Leading Safety Improvement initiatives including the development of an Mobile application for Safety Observations, the development of a SERQ Team site on SharePoint • Assisting in the development of divisional Team site with the SharePoint system • Conducted the launches/ Presentations of the Mobile Application Sae connect and the SERQ Team site at divisional events (approx. 250 pax) • Conduct Site Safety Inspections for PTV Portfolio Projects and Level Crossing Removal projects • Review of Safety Documentation such as SWMS and Safety Management Plans • Coordination of Safety Training including High Risk Awareness, Management of Change and Fatigue Management • Facilitation of Incident Investigation Training on the new developed Procedure and new Investigation system • Providing 3rd party access to contractor for the Level Crossing Removal Projects• Purchasing of Personal Protective Equipment and coordination of the hand out for Projects Staff • Creation of Purchase Requisitions for different purposes • Organising the Annual Projects Safety Forum and Operational Safety Forum
