Whilst continuing functions, on a smaller capacity, I have been fortunate enough to be trained in HR by stepping into a relief position.My responsibilities include rostering, coordinating staff leave, recruitment, orientation training and staff performance management.

My role as Function & Events Coordinator at Harbord Diggers is to coordinate memorable events with exceptional customer service for our clients, members and local community.I look after 3 venues - Harbord Diggers, Waves Youth Club and Manly Bowling Club.Bookings range from internal sub-clubs, continous hall hire for classes, community and charity events, corporate clients and external clients for weddings, parties, baby showers, christenings and wakes. Responsibilities include providing quotation, following leads, site inspections with potential clients, securing bookings, managing several events at once, coordinating event details with clients and suppliers, rostering staff, training staff, managing monthly budgets, function package cost of goods, negotiating costs, providing quotation on catering, ordering catering and putting together catering packages.More recently due to club re-development I have moved into organising club events,alongside the marketing team, such as family fun days, car shows, food truck festivals, day of decadence markets and school holiday activities.

My role as Acting Assistant Venue Manager gave me an opportunity to take on more responsibilities in the Function Department.I looked after 8 venues across the Museum and several clients events at once. I became involved in every aspect of an event from providing the initial quotation, following up leads, negotiating pricing, conducting site inspections, booking confirmations, liaise with caterers and suppliers, train function supervisors, create run sheets, invoices and managing our monthly budget. I learnt skills in time management, rostering of staff, forecasting events, cost of goods, managing budgets and multiple clients at once.

My role as Venue Coordinator was to assist the Venue & Assistant Venue Managers with identifying sale leads, converting leads into buisness and working with clients to bring their events to life! I continued my duties as Function Supervisor by moving between the office and supervising events throughout the day. I became competant in using Events Perfect for booking events, creating run sheets and invoices.

My role as Function Supervisor at the Australian National Maritime Museum was to be first point of contact for clients during their event. I would set up venues in terms of equipment, furniture and audio visual. Then supervise events and ensure they ran smoothly, on time and to the clients vision. I liaised with the onsite catering team, suppliers and contractors throughout the event.I also covered administration work in the office, learning the skills to coordinate the events with our clients.
