2 year secondment with responsibility for curriculum review across the business and law faculty

Responsibility for strategic planning and recruitment process within accounting and finance. Included in the role – recruitment requests and workload projects, chairing recruitment panels, shortlisting and the design of adverts and jobs specifications aligned with the research and teaching needs of the department. Provision of academic admissions support throughout the year and providing guidance on non-traditional entry routes including international qualifications and mature student entry for the department. Responsibility for qualification mapping with international partnership agreements.

Responsible for the leadership of the largest undergraduate programme with the Department of Accounting and Finance (current student numbers enrolled on the programme are in excess of 1,000). Roles included curriculum review of module content and development of programme wide schemes of assessment, alignment of module assessment across all levels and review to ensure consistent with university, professional bodies and QAA benchmark expectations. Design and redesign of content for technical, employability skills and research methods modules in accordance with professional body syllabi, student and employer feedback and guidance from the doctoral college. Preparation of and support of other staff members in designing and implementing assessments and marking of assignments/examinations. Design of work programmes for both supervision and teaching in synchronous and asynchronous learning formats. Module work programme design for the academic year 2020-2021 was adopted as best practice across the Department of Accounting and Finance and across the Faculty of Business and Law.
