I am the Unit Coordinator for the Centre's microcredential course INDOM100 'Australia and the Indo-Pacific – understanding our strategic connections to Asia'. Offered in 2023, the course offers 8 weeks of online teaching, resources, quizzes and discussion focusing on Australia's geostrategic, trade, defence and cross-sector relationships with our near-neighbours in Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, China and the USA.
I provide high level strategic communication and engagement leadership to the Centre with a particular focus on enhancing and fostering the Centres communication with its networks of strategic thinkers and leaders. I am responsible for the establishment and implementation of the Centre’s communications strategy with a focus on developing and directing external communications and engagement initiatives. I provide a broad spectrum of communication advice and support to strengthen the foundation work of the Centre in addition to identifying new program and partnership development opportunities to activate the broader community.
I am responsible for directing, developing and implementing internal student communications and online engagement initiatives that deliver on the vision of the UWA Student Experience. I work closely with senior staff within the Student Services Division and with other key stakeholders across the University to develop strategic relationships and initiate and progress broad-scale projects. I also manage a number of strategic projects within the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) and provide professional leadership to the University’s functions in the areas of student engagement, online communities and internal communication.
I conduct research into how professional staff learn and apply skills in emerging technologies and social media. I use leadership theories to explore how 'super-infectors' pass on their curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and are instrumental in driving organisational change

I developed and now implement the internal communications strategy for the UWA Student Services Division. The strategy focuses on raising awareness of Division activities and encouraging participation from the University community. Staff audiences are informed via an internal subscription mailing list and are able to post comments and questions on the staff blog.
