Manage the Zoning code compliance program and staff in the Community Development Department. Responsible for inspecting residential and non-residential sites for compliance with local ordinances, code regulations and site plan specifications. Perform first-line supervisor duties for enforcing the County Zoning Code and Zoning Ordinance in responding to citizen complaints. Resolve disputes over violations through counseling and negotiation. Appointed to serve in this advisory role to City Council. Jointly responsible with fellow Commissioners for preparing and recommending the Comprehensive Plan for the physical development of the territory within the City of Charlottesville. Representing the Planning Commission; also serve on the Metropolitan Planning Organization Technical Committee, the Bicycle / Pedestrian Safety Committee and the Community Development Block Grant Task Force.

Responsible for planning, directing and budgeting activities concerned with the remodel and maintenance of a grocery store chain for a 28 billion dollar corporation. Participated in the conceptual development of construction remodel projects and oversee its organization, scheduling and implementation. Successfully completed nine store remodel projects within budget and on schedule while stores remained opened.

Identified and recruited new clients, and development business opportunities. Solely responsible for identifying, securing and retaining account with a major drug store chain that generated annual revenues of more than 3 million annually.

Directed the design and installation of graphic materials and displays for the U.S. Army Recruiting Support command. Managed a team of 3-5 persons.
